THE TUESDAY CHAMBER PLAYERS

The Tuesday Chamber Players are a group of five to eight talented amateur classical musicians who were formed in 2003 as part of the Sunshine coast Community Orchestra Association. their leader, Joe Hatherill, leads various ensembles on the coast including Pender Harbour Choir and the Air Cadet band.

The group rehearse each Tuesday, hence the name, and have a repertoire that includes works by Mozart, Vivaldi, Haydn and many wedding favourites.

LIFE DRAWING GROUP

This is a non-instructional, drop-in that has been running for over 20 years. It happens at the SC Arts Centre on Tuesday mornings from 10 am to 1 pm (except during the summer). The model starts at 10am so it is advised to show up early, as everyone is in place and starts drawing by 10. The front doors are locked then, and people know to go to the back doors. Drop in fee to cover expenses.

JEWELLERY AND ACCESSORY SALE

This is a fun fundraising event for the SC Arts Centre.

Need a reason to liberate some space in your closet, jewellery box, or scarf drawer? The Sunshine Coast Arts Council serves the whole Coast, and you can help through your generous donations of: : jewellery : scarves : belts : hats : gloves : handbags : miscellany. Donations can be made to the Arts Centre during open hours. Leave your name with your donation; we want to acknowledge your support.

Then you can spruce up your wardrobe with new-to-you jewellery and accessories at remarkable prices

ART'S UPDATE

Coast Cable tapes on site interviews with the Arts Centre's exhibiting artists. Check channel 11 for the times for the half-hour show called ARTS UPDATE. The SC Arts Council would like to thank Steve Sleep and Marlene Lowden of Coast Cable and the Sunshine Coast Arts Council volunteer Kay Bonathan.


ARTESIA COFFEEHOUSE

The Artesia Coffee House is organized by Coast Cultural Alliance members and is held the last Friday of each month from October to June each year at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre with 4 25 minutes of live quality performances. 80% of proceeds go to pay performers & sound tech, the remainder goes towards the use of the space.

Doors open at 7:00pm and showtime starts at 8:00pm. The cost is $8-$10 at the door. Come early to get a good seat, enjoy the wonderful ever changing artwork on the walls, delicious treats by Trish, a slideshow of performers on the Coast before the show and good times with your community live music friends.
